We have gathered the questions we are asked most often about staying at Budo no Ki.
Do take a look, so that your time with us can be as relaxed and reassuring as possible.

Booking, Tours and Date Changes

How do I book a facility tour?

Please apply through the “Tour Booking” LINE account shown on our website, completing all the required fields.
*We do not take bookings by telephone.

My stay may need to shift depending on how the birth goes.

Please don’t worry. Birth timing is hard to predict, so we accommodate changes flexibly. Do let us know as soon as the birth is confirmed.

We can handle any case—an early or late delivery, or a rescheduled caesarean.

As the change is for medical reasons, no cancellation fee applies. If we are fully booked, we will suggest a different room type, and you may need to move rooms partway through your stay; our staff will support you throughout.

Is there a cancellation fee or a charge for changing dates?

We adjust dates as flexibly as we can, free of charge, where the birth requires it. For major changes or cancellations, the following policy applies.

TimingCancellation fee
From booking to 60 days beforeFree
59–31 days before10% of the total
30–8 days before30% of the total
7–2 days before50% of the total
The day before or the day itself100% of the total

*All fees include tax and are calculated on the total accommodation charge.

I booked online but was told there was no availability.

Because delivery dates cannot be fixed in advance, we keep a margin either side of each booking.
After you book online, we may contact you with details when we confirm the reservation.

Do you offer early-booking or long-stay discounts?

We offer a range of discounts, including early-booking and long-stay rates, and you can calculate your rate automatically.
Please see our plans page for details.

Please note the following:

Rooms accommodate two people, and older children of primary school age or above count towards that number. Please contact us before booking.

[Free of charge]
Please ask us at any time:
・Simple advice on breast- or bottle-feeding
・Basic support with holding and settling your baby
・Reassurance when you find yourself wondering whether you are doing it right

[Paid individual consultations]
These are booked as dedicated professional time:

If you are unsure which category your question falls into, please just ask a member of staff.

What if I become unwell before my stay?

As we care for newborns here, please consult us even for something as slight as a runny nose without a fever. The dates can be changed.
If you become unwell during your stay, we ask that you see your own doctor.

What optional services are available?

Aroma massage, pelvic care, newborn photography, mugwort steam baths and more.

Can staff feed my baby their solid food?

We ask parents to give baby food and snacks themselves. We do provide the cutlery and high chairs you need, so please just ask.

What happens if an accident occurs during my stay through your fault?

We carry liability insurance, and in the unlikely event of an accident caused by our negligence, we will respond in good faith under that cover. Because the scope of compensation depends on the nature of the accident and the degree of fault, we will seek expert advice and work towards a fair and prompt resolution.

Available payment methods vary by type of charge.

  • Accommodation and extended-stay charges: Bank transfer or cash.
*At Urawa only, Saitama’s digital local currency “Sai-Coin” is also accepted.

Why do I need to register credit-card details when booking?

Registering card details is required to confirm your booking.
The registered card is used only if a cancellation fee becomes payable; it will not be charged for your normal accommodation or extended-stay fees.

When is payment for my stay due?

The deadline depends on your payment method and when you book.

  • Bank transfer: Please transfer payment no later than 14 days before the first day of your stay.

How do I pay for an extension to my stay?

Once your extension is confirmed, we will advise you of the amount and payment deadline.

  • Bank transfer: Please transfer payment by the specified deadline.
