For now, just rest.
A quiet retreat for a tired body and soul.

A Yojo Stay —
quiet care for a body that has given so much.

Here, you do not need to put on a brave face.
You are free to cry, rest, or simply be.
A restorative stay from Budou no Ki —
a quiet place to rest and reconnect with yourself.

Pregnancy loss can place a profound strain
on both body and mind.

Sudden hormonal changes, physical pain, and emotional exhaustion can all take a toll.

Your body may still need time and care to recover.

And yet, you may feel pressure to return to everyday life before you are ready.

You do not need to force a smile. Give yourself permission to rest, stay warm, and sleep as much as you need.

What comes next can wait until you feel ready.

Three promises for a quiet, private stay

Quiet

A private space away from the sounds and activity of the postpartum care floor

Your route through the building is separate from the postpartum care floor, and your room is located in a quieter area to minimise the likelihood of hearing or encountering babies.

Restoration

Care that warms you from within

Warm soups, herbal teas, and comforting bath preparations are provided to help you rest and feel cared for in ways that may be difficult to arrange at home.

Privacy

Space and support on your terms

Conversation with staff can be kept to a minimum, and meals can be left outside your door so that you can rest in privacy without interruption.

You do not have to hide your grief — or talk about it before you are ready.

There are days when you want to talk to someone, and days when you want to see no one at all.
Here, you can follow your own needs. Our staff have completed specialist training and will respect the level of support and privacy you choose.

Choice 01

Writing

Giving shape to what cannot be said

"Fragments of Feeling" notebook

A shared notebook where you can write anything, from painful feelings to requests for our staff. Our staff can respond if you would like them to.

"A Letter to the Sky"

A writing set for a letter to your baby or to yourself. If you wish, we can keep it for you and arrange for it to be respectfully included in a ceremonial burning.

Choice 02

Talking

A quiet conversation with a trained member of staff

"Time Together" (by appointment)

If you feel that you would like to talk to someone, please let a member of staff know. We will not offer unsolicited advice. We will simply sit with you and listen.

Choice 03

Remembrance

A private place to remember your baby

"A small memorial space"

A corner of the room where you may place an ultrasound photograph or keepsake. Spend some quiet time by the light of an LED candle.

Please tell us how you feel today,
without using
words.

"I don't want to see anyone today."
"I'd like to talk a little today."
You can use the door hanger in your room to let us know how you are feeling. There is no need to telephone or speak to anyone.

Trusted in Taiwan for over 20 years

We serve soups from Tasteforlife, a brand specialising in postpartum and post-miscarriage nourishment that has been trusted in Taiwan for over 20 years.

Because your comfort and wellbeing come first, we carefully selected the soups served during your stay.
These traditional restorative soups are made by Tasteforlife, a specialist producer with a long history of supporting postpartum wellbeing in Taiwan.

A formulation built around recovery

Developed in collaboration with Taiwanese Chinese medicine practitioner Dr Hsu Hui-yin. The soups are prepared with ingredients traditionally selected to support nourishment and wellbeing after pregnancy loss.

Uncompromising on safety

The soups contain no artificial seasonings, colourings, or preservatives. Carefully selected, quality-checked herbal ingredients are used.

Rice-koji water instead of plain water

The base of every soup is 100% rice-koji water, a brewed water developed by Tasteforlife from carefully selected glutinous rice. Rich in amino acids, it provides a mild and comforting base for each soup.

✓ No artificial seasonings ✓ No colourings ✓ No preservatives ✓ No pesticide residues

We will not try to
“fix”
your grief.

Our team includes midwives and other care professionals who have completed specialist training in perinatal grief care.

We know that words of encouragement can sometimes weigh heavily.

We hope simply to be there, so that your time here is a little warmer and a little safer.

Three features of this plan

01

Nourishing food for comfort and recovery

In traditional Chinese medicine, post-miscarriage care is sometimes described using the concept of a “small birth”, reflecting the importance placed on rest and nourishment after pregnancy loss. This plan includes one bowl a day of Tasteforlife traditional restorative soup — from a postpartum care brand trusted in Taiwan for over 20 years — with dinner or as a late-night bowl.

●
A three-stage programme:inspired by the traditional concepts of circulation, restoration, and nourishment.
●
Ingredients:rice-koji water, rich in amino acids, in place of plain water; carefully selected herbal ingredients free of pesticide residues; and no artificial seasonings or preservatives.
●
Meals:three meals per day, consisting mainly of gentle, comforting Japanese dishes.
02

Amenities for warmth and quiet

We have put together a set of items exclusive to this plan, to shield you from cold and from noise.

●
Warming drinks:“Nukunuku-cha”, simmered from six ingredients including ginger and jujube, and vitamin-rich jujube tea, both served free of charge.
●
Room:in an area where the sound of babies is unlikely to reach you.
●
Items provided:a soft blanket, a rechargeable hot water bottle, leg warmers, moisturising tissues, a warming eye mask, and a book to lose yourself in.
●
Sanitary items:organic cotton sanitary pads and spare sanitary briefs.
03

A distance you choose — to talk, or not to talk

Staff who have completed specialist training will support you at your own pace.

●
Door hanger:a door hanger lets you say “please leave me be” or “I'd like to talk” without a word.
●
"Fragments of Feeling" notebook:a shared notebook for feelings that are difficult to put into words. Our staff write back.
●
Listening time (on request):if you would like, a midwife or other specialist member of staff will come to your room and listen.
